On which wall types can I install the rail?

Almost all wall types. On concrete and brick walls, use the supplied wall plugs; on timber walls, screws alone are enough; on drywall, use special drywall anchors. Installation on glass is not possible.

Nylon cord or steel cable — which should I choose?

Nylon cord is nearly invisible — each cord holds about 6.5 kg, ideal for light frames and home use. Stainless steel cable holds about 15 kg per cable and can be doubled up for extra strength — better for galleries and heavy pieces, and virtually maintenance-free.

Can I hang multiple pictures from one cable?

Yes — put multiple hooks on a single cable. Just stay within the weight limit of the cable and the rail.

Can I cut the cord or cable to length?

Nylon cord can be cut, but a rough cut can leave burrs that make it hard to slide hooks on. We recommend rolling up the excess and tucking it behind your artwork. Steel cable cannot be shortened.

Does its job

Reliable, relatively easy to install, but having stainless metal strips instead of wires would work better.

Great Result, But Requires Precision

It does what is says. Its attractive and easy to use, once mounted. I advise new buyers to be precise when placing the support clips to the wall because a small misalignment could cause the track to be very difficult to install. The clips must be installed in a very straight line.Once the support clips are mounted to the wall in a very straight line, the rest is super easy. Mine snapped into place securely and handled a heavier piece (~30LB) easily. The track is somewhat flexible and works well despite minor deviations in wall fatness.

Great system

I was concerned because this was the lowest price system. So far I've purchased three sets and will buy more shortly. A great value for the price. I'm a drunk 70yo that should not be on a ladder, but these are so easy to install that I'm smiling. As an artist this will cut down on the holes in the studio walls.

Home Picture System

Installed easily. I do not use the screw drywall plugs. I create a template to only anchor to studs.

Picture hanging system

This system is easy to install and facilitates organization of framed art or framed family pictures, but the hanger hooks supplied with the kit do not fit into the hangers on most picture frames. There are other hook options that will work with this kit and fit standard picture frames. Overall I would recommend this kit due to the versatility it affords.
